Tranquility
30”x40”
Oil paint on stretched canvas
Inspired by a photograph I took in Gjendebu National Park in Norway. When creating this piece, I focused on capturing the movement and depth of the land within a still image. I utilized a limited color palette, varied brushwork, and pure white highlights to define the rushing rapids and wispy clouds. I want the viewers of this piece to be fully immersed and present within the scene.

Memory of the Present
12”x24”
Oil on stretched canvas
This piece is inspired by the dazzling sunsets that have colored the sky throughout the semester. As I watch the shifting array of hues, I often find myself missing the moment even as I experience it. To capture that feeling, I used abstract brushstrokes to represent the sky’s movement and changing colors, while rendering the foreground more realistically. This contrast creates a sense of duality—reflecting both the immediacy of the present moment and the way it lingers as a memory.

Hey Loft!
16”x20”
Oil on stretched canvas
During the fall of 2025, I spent a semester at The Mountain School of Milton Academy, where I found a new sense of community and made lasting memories with people who quickly became like family. The Hayloft quickly became the landmark of our semester as it was the go-to place for all the students to study, hangout, visit the animals, and stargaze. I utilized a limited color palette to capture the quiet, magical feeling of The Mountain School and the lasting impact it had on me.
